#804 - "Young Redhouse"
by Bajè Whitethorne, Sr.

This verse appears on the inside upper portion of the card, the lower portion is blank for a personal note or greeting.

The Pow-wow has become an important part of Navajo life. It is a time to meet members of the family, clan, tribe and others. Young children are taught songs and dances and encouraged to participate at an early age. Each child makes their own costume with help from the schools and family. Young Redhouse wears a porcupine roach, beaded wrist bands and a ribbon shirt.

All is beautiful before me
behind me
below me
above me,
All is beautiful all around me.

-Navajo
